Speednames offers domain name transactions under all domain endings in the world, provided that the registration authority is active in the country in question.

Five basic transactions are offered:

  • Registration
    Registration provides you with the right to a domain name with a specific domain ending for a given period. Speednames offers registration of domain names both online via the web program Nameclient and offline via your Speednames Account Manager. The time of delivery will vary according to the domain ending. Generic endings are processed within a few minutes, whereas it may take several weeks before all the documentary evidence is approved in the case of some African domain endings.

  • Renewal
    Renewal provides you with the right to a registered domain name for a further period of time. To ensure that you do not lose your names as a consequence of overdue invoices, Speednames will automatically renew your active domain names unless you deactivate them within a specified period of time.

  • Transfer
    Removal means that you move your names from one domain provider to Speednames. The technical contact and the invoice contact in WHOIS will be changed to Speednames, and if you have no name servers yourself, these will be changed to Speednames’ name servers. Accordingly, you will be able to administer your domain names in the web program Nameclient.

  • Modifications
    Modifications of domain names means amendments to contact information in WHOIS and are typically made in connection with streamlining your domain portfolio or if you change your address, etc.

  • Change of ownership
    Change of ownership means change of the registrant (the owner) of the domain name.
